After all the speculation and rumour it has been announced by Bill Davison, owner of the Soundhaus and director of the Purplehaus Group, that he has acquired the Roadmender building and work has already commenced to get the venue re-opened in October.

The unique, uplifting, blend of deepfunk, jazzfunk, latinfunk, afrofunk, funky hammond grooves, original funky breaks,rare grooves, funky reggae, funky soul, , and whatever ever else has that unmistakable, indefinable groove, provides a vital fix to funky music lovers of all ages and races in a party atmosphere. Weaving a seamless blend of what the past has to offer, classics and rarities, whilst never neglecting the cream of the new. All played over daddyvinyls 6k cerwin vega soundsystem!
Resident DJ's Mr. Jackie "Allsorts" aka Daddy Vinyl (We got soul!,Retro-Beat,Good Vibes) , Pete 'Funk' Mayes (sound of the streets,We got soul), Johnny 'Vegas' (Hot funky & sweaty), Glynn Etherington( bungee/Retro Beat) ,all have something different to offer. The Blastchamber Special Offers
There are now pay in advance tickets available for The Blastchamber club night, they cost £3 and are only available from The Underground. So get down to The Underground and get yourself in cheap on a saturday night.
Roadmender Closure
Due to the closure of the Roadmender, some of the scheduled events will be transferred to The Soundhaus.

New Proof of Age Scheme
As of Wednesday the 30th of November The Soundhaus will be operating a proof of age wristband scheme at all live events and club nights.
At live events, if you look under 21 you will be asked for proof of age; if you are 14-17 you will receive a yellow wristband. If however you prove you are 18 or older you will receive a purple wristband.
On club nights, if you look under 21 you will be asked for proof of age, again if you prove you are 18 or older you will receive a purple wristband.
The Soundhaus now enforce a zero tolerance policy at all club nights, if you look under 21 you will be asked for ID, so make sure you bring a valid form of ID just to be safe.
Forms of acceptable ID are: photo driver's licence, passport, or proof of age scheme cards which carry the ‘PASS' logo. These are the only form of ID which will b accepted.
